Hosting Goodness: the thrill of hosting a new home

Very excited to host the first new guests at the Bear Lodge Lookout this past weekend. The homeowners connected with me via the Airbnb co-hosting option, and we were off and running.
From interviewing the homeowner to taking photos to prepping the home and designing a custom Guest Manual, the whole process only took a few weeks, and the first reservation requests came within a few days of going live on the calendar.
A custom designed Guest Manual created by Topping Consulting was accompanied by a hand-written welcome note, a bottle of wine, and cinnamon rolls in the fridge. We set out food bowls and treats for the dog. Due to fire season, there were restrictions on the property usage so we compensated with other fun activities such as container full of outdoor activities for the kids so they had a lot of incentive to enjoy the property and outdoor pavilion.

A great and personal experience leads to a 5-star review (and Superhost status).
The home has more reservations this season, and they have established a solid foundation for next spring and summer's bookings.
A handwritten note and other personal touches are the difference between hosting and hosting goodness.
