Hosting Goodness: side jobs

Sometimes unexpected relationships are forged through hosting. A neighboring home to one of our clients was in need of some cleaning services about 8 years ago. Via this connection, I have the been the primary estate services provider for these homeowners ever since. They do not rent out their home, but they do need someone in the area to keep an eye on it and to respond to any needs (like an outdoor pipe bursting about 5 years ago).

It has been a pleasure to be trusted by this family, so I have been especially excited to watch them transform their original home into a much larger home that will accommodate their visiting adult children and growing number of grandchildren.

The homeowners believe in quality and longevity so it has been fascintating being a part of this journey that started with the tear down of the original home in December of 2023 (the home was first stripped of all usable materials and donated or recycled to the local area). All the materials from start have been locally sourced (stone, wood, etc) and the attention to detail is impressive (there will be little to no trim used in the home because the workmanship is of such quality that there will be no gaps). The floors are heated and cooled and complemented by any HVAC system in which all the vents are being built into the cabinetry.

I will share more updates as I can without compromising the privacy of the homeowners.

When it comes to relationships, I don't just believe in hosting, I believe in hosting goodness.
